Job summary

Sabre Systems is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to act as the lead technical authority for custom application development and automation solutions. You’ll be the SME for enterprise architecture, risk management, governance, data protection, and secure design across the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 4+ years, or expert cert in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years supporting government agencies with enterprise‑grade, security‑sensitive solutions; USCG or DHS preferred.
• Experience with enterprise architecture, governance, compliance‑driven design, and secure development.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher; U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for secure application, workflow, and analytics development across the program.
• Own end‑to‑end solution architecture, ensuring security, compliance, scalability, and resilience from requirements through deployment.
• Establish, implement, and enforce governance frameworks, secure development standards, architecture patterns, and role‑based access controls.
• Ensure all solutions meet cybersecurity, data‑protection, continuity of operations, and federal compliance requirements (including DHS and USCG directives).
• Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and mitigation planning for new and existing solutions.
• Provide technical and security‑focused guidance to journeyman and junior engineers; collaborate closely with program leadership and stakeholders.
