Job summary

ActioNet, Inc. is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Cybersecurity Architect to lead security architecture across enterprise solutions for a large federal modernization program. The role requires hands-on design work, review, implementation, and operations to ensure secure, compliant systems. This hybrid position is based near Suitland, MD, with 2 days on-site.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in cybersecurity with emphasis on security architecture or enterprise leadership.
• Experience with federal RMF, controls, authorization, continuous monitoring, zero trust, identity, cloud, data, and logging.
• Strong written and verbal communication with engineers, architects, PMs, and government decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Own security architecture across enterprise solutions, platforms, networks, identity, mobility/endpoints, data and cloud.
• Translate requirements into implementable designs, evidence, and risk decisions.
• Participate in architecture reviews, governance, and risk-informed recommendations for approval.
• Embed security into design from the start through cross-functional coordination.
• Produce actionable security designs and traceable artifacts for engineers.
