Job summary

AnaVation seeks a highly experienced Cyber Security Architect/Engineer to lead security architectures for mission-critical software factories and cloud-native environments in San Antonio, TX. You will oversee monitoring, analysis, and detection of cyber events, and drive secure architecture decisions across the SDLC.

Role requires extensive DoD cybersecurity experience, RMF/ATO/cATO know-how, and strong collaboration with government and development teams within a SAFe/DevSecOps framework.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with TS/SCI and CI Poly within last 5 years.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, software engineering, cloud computing, or related field.
• One or more of CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty or equivalent DoD 8140 certification.
• Full-time on-site in San Antonio, TX.
• Nine or more years supporting DoD cybersecurity or cloud security missions.
• Nine or more years implementing cloud security solutions within AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or containerized environments.
• Experience with RMF, ATO, and Continuous Authority to Operate (cATO).
• Experience integrating cybersecurity into Agile, SAFe, and DevSecOps delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for cyber security architect and engineering activities for mission-critical software factories and cloud-native environments.
• Coordinate security activities across sprint cadences and Agile delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with Government stakeholders, developers, DevSecOps, ISSMs/ISSEs/ISSO, COT, CPT to integrate cybersecurity throughout SDLC.
• Implement, document, test, and maintain security controls supporting RMF and cATO.
• Apply cyber security methodology by integrating RMF, DoD policy, Zero Trust, and cATO into SAFe/DevSecOps workflows.
• Maintain the Body of Evidence supporting initial ATOs and continuous authorization.
• Coordinate assessment of authorization artifacts, inherited controls, configuration baselines, scans, remediation, and evidence.
• Design and implement cloud security solutions for Kubernetes, OpenShift, containers, IaC, and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Support vulnerability management, STIGs, security automation, and continuous monitoring.
