AnaVation is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to support a cybersecurity program in our San Antonio office. You will lead zero trust engineering, interoperability, and modern security capability development across the Government enterprise.

The Cloud Security Engineer will manage security systems and tools for cloud technologies, investigate and enhance existing cloud structures, and drive issue identification/resolution, integration, gap assessment, and continuous improvement, while providing

Qualifications

• Clearance: U.S. Citizen, TS/SCI; CI Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Cloud Computing, IT, or related technical field
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II and an AWS certification
• Location: Full-time on-site in San Antonio, TX
• Minimum: 10 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Lead zero trust engineering and interoperability initiatives
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud architecture using Terraform and Ansible
• Administer AWS and secure cloud services; apply advanced networking and VPC design
• Support SIEM/SOAR/IMS/IRT roadmap, engineering, and integration
• Architect logging, monitoring, and telemetry for cybersecurity operations
• Advance security automation and evidence collection for continuous monitoring
• Provide SME support across DevSecOps and AI security initiatives
• Update Cyber Assessment Roadmap and prepare technical documentation
• Collaborate with ISSMs/ISSEs and stakeholders using git
• Support Zero Trust enforcement and IaC security across environments
• Maintain and validate A&A evidence in eMASS for continuous monitoring
