Job summary

NRG seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design and evolve secure technology solutions across cloud and network environments. This role focuses on defining security design approaches, establishing standards, and partnering with technology teams to ensure security is embedded into enterprise platforms and services.

You will lead architecture reviews, support threat modeling and risk assessments, and contribute to the continuous improvement of security governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, networking or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of cybersecurity, cloud, and network security experience.
• Familiarity with modern infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture, guiding principles and target designs.
• Provide high-level design guidance on secure cloud and network solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to embed security in designs.
• Participate in security architecture reviews and address risks.
• Support threat modeling and risk assessment activities.
• Define and promote security standards and design patterns.
• Advise on security topics including emerging technologies.
• Improve security architecture governance processes.
