Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect for a fully remote role. You will design, build, and maintain the organization's security architecture and lead secure-by-design initiatives across cloud and on-premises environments.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in cybersecurity with architecture focus, deep knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP, and experience with NIST/ISO 27001. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on architecture and design.
• Proven experience designing and implementing security solutions in complex environments including cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of network security, endpoint security, IAM, and DLP.
• Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001 and compliance requirements.
• Strong DevSecOps mindset and ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA, or CCSP are highly preferred.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of network security, endpoint security, identity and access management (IAM), and data loss prevention (DLP). Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements. Strong understanding of application security and secure development practices (DevSecOps). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA, or CCSP are highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fully remote setting.
