Job summary

ERCOT in Taylor, TX seeks an experienced cyber security engineer to support its security program, platforms, and vulnerability management. You will coordinate with IT, business, and vendor teams to strengthen defenses and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requires 5+ years in the field and a related Bachelor's degree; CISSP or similar certifications are preferred. The role is hybrid in Taylor, TX, with some on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 5 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline (Preferred).
• CISSP or other relevant security certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand basic principles and apply them within ERCOT culture.
• Administrate, configure, tune, monitor, and maintain cyber security platforms and tools.
• Lead implementation, testing, and lifecycle management of security technologies across diverse environments.
• Coordinate vulnerability management, remediation tracking, and risk-based activities.
