Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is seeking a Senior Cyber Threat Analyst to join our Cyber Threat Monitoring Team. You will lead strategic CTI functions, produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly threat insights, and support proactive defense through intelligence dissemination and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

The role emphasizes threat hunting, alert analysis, and developing robust detection capabilities within the SOC/IR framework, aligned with MITRE ATT&CK and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and/or related roles.
• Significant relevant experience (e.g., military) in one or more of the above roles may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Familiarity with the Intelligence Cycle, Threat Intelligence Platforms, and the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, particularly in high-stress situations.
• Ability to produce products at the tactical, operational, and strategic level and to articulate findings and assessments effectively.
• A desire to understand and maintain awareness of changes to the cyber threat and risk landscape, including related geopolitical risks that may impact our overall security posture.
• Strong analytical skills and priority management

Responsibilities

• Produce and disseminate CTI emails, reports, and briefings for internal stakeholders and leaders.
• Monitor threat intel from OSINT, COTS, and vendors; suggest proactive defense strategies.
• Enhance SOC/IR by developing playbooks and decision trees.
• Analyze threats to build intelligence reporting and hunting strategies.
• Maintain threat profiles of actors aligned with MITRE ATT&CK.
• Provide guidance during SOC and IR escalations and investigations.
• Conduct threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments for remediation guidance.
• Collaborate to implement threat-informed patch prioritization.
• Coordinate red team exercises and incident response trainings.
• Perform threat hunting across SIEM logs to find unknown malicious activity.
• Analyze alert trends to support intelligence reporting and detection gaps.
• Review privileged and general user access across platforms to identify anomalies.
• Collaborate on insider risk initiatives with DLP and security teams.
• Develop, update CTI and threat hunting procedures and standards.
• Contribute to security awareness messaging and training.
