Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Senior Cyber Threat Detection and Response professional to shape and maintain a Cyber Threat Intelligence program, aligning with leading industry standards and directing collaboration with the Security Engineering team, IT Architects, Risk and Legal. This role reports to the CISO.

The position focuses on monitoring and improving detection across SIEM/EDR, managing threat feeds, and supporting incident response and assessments while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Security.
• Strong understanding of cyber threat landscape.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, and PCI-DSS.
• Ability to mentor junior analysts.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cybersecurity solutions including SIEM, EDR, VM, network, FW/IPS, and cloud.
• Develop and maintain 24/7 SOC Tier 1/2 SOPs and playbooks.
• Manage threat intelligence KPIs and reporting capabilities.
• Support incident response and annual security assessments.
• Coordinate with security engineering, risk, and legal teams.
