Peraton Labs seeks a Senior Tech Lead – Cyber Systems Engineer to serve as hands‑on technical lead for a complex environment of classified and unclassified systems. You will mentor cross‑functional teams, interface directly with the customer, and ensure mission readiness, resilience, and security.

This on‑site role near College Park, MD requires substantial leadership, deep systems engineering expertise, and active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Qualifications

• 25 years of experience preferred or 20+ with advanced degree
• 5+ years leading multi‑discipline engineering teams
• Strong Linux/Windows administration background
• Experience implementing security best practices
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (Powershell, Bash, Python)
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required

Responsibilities

• Act as senior technical authority for system architecture, engineering decisions, and operations across multi‑domain environments
• Lead and coordinate internal and subcontractor teams to align infrastructure with execution of research
• Provide hands‑on engineering support for complex issues including root‑cause analysis and performance tuning
• Maintain secure system baselines and implement RMF/NIST controls and security plans
• Oversee network and systems operations including segmentation, routing, DNS/DHCP, and zero trust patterns
• Interface with customer to brief status, risks, and tradeoffs and coordinate delivery with stakeholders
