Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer to operate in an agile team, designing and implementing security controls and coordinating with cyber and software teams. The role requires active Top Secret clearance and DoD experience, with on-site work in Manhattan Beach, CA, and potential travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities include deployment planning, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance or eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or Master's with 0+ years.
• Experience with HW/SW integration and DoD STIG requirements.
• Experience deploying Linux/Windows in DoD environment.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-focused deployment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and assess security controls per NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253.
• Collaborate with SW/cyber teams on deployment plans.
• Troubleshoot deployments in CI/CD and at customer sites.
• Configure HW/SW and networking; support environments for ATO/IATT.
• Travel to CONUS customer sites up to 25%.
