Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to contribute to Cyber & Intelligence missions, leading software development efforts and ensuring performance and reliability across systems. You will analyze requirements, design, code, integrate, and document software, while mentoring team members and coordinating with engineers and users.

Requires 20+ years SWE experience, a BS in CS or related field, active US polygraph clearance, and skills in C++, Python, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Twenty years of experience as a SWE
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Four years of additional SWE experience on similar projects may substitute for a degree
• Active US security clearance with a polygraph (updated within past 7 years)

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Integrate existing software into new systems or environments.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Serve as team lead where appropriate in software development process.
• Design or implement complex database interfaces/queries.
• Develop algorithms to meet performance and functional standards.
• Assist with test procedures for software components.
• Analyze system performance and data usage to suggest improvements.
