Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join a focused team delivering IA architecture and security engineering for NC3, COG, and senior leader comms. You will assess risks, design, implement, and operate real-time security capabilities across enclaves, and guide architecture with DoD stakeholders.

Requires a Bachelor’s in a related field, 14+ years in ISSE/Systems Engineering, and an active TS/SCI with polygraph. Strong RMF, writing, and briefing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with extensive information systems security experience.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required.
• Strong writing and briefing skills for senior DoD officials.
• Expertise in RMF, risk assessments, and cybersecurity controls.
• Experience with network and enclave security design and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and provide prioritized mitigation.
• Support real-time threat discovery, analysis, and mitigation efforts.
• Evaluate candidate architectures for security gaps and propose mitigations.
• Research emerging technologies to improve cybersecurity effectiveness.
• Assist stakeholders and ensure security requirements are defined and validated.
