Job summary

DC Water seeks a Senior Analyst, Cyber Security to join the Security Operations Center in a hybrid Washington, DC role. You will administer cyber control technologies, monitor IT and OT networks, and partner with IT/OT teams to manage access and strengthen defenses.

You will analyze security events, support disaster recovery, conduct vulnerability assessments, and develop security metrics for executive visibility.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in Information Systems.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity functions, risk mitigation, and incident flows in a SEIM.
• Ability to define problems, generate alternatives, and implement solutions.
• Intermediate understanding of MITRE and ATT&CK for IT/OT networks.
• Strong understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell, KQL, Python).
• Intermediate understanding of ports, protocols, services, host/network IPS.
• Advanced understanding of system and network logging events.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and NIST Cyber Incident Response steps.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Director, Cyber Security Services in preparedness to address cyber risks.
• Maintains user access controls for computing resources.
• Monitors SOC operations to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber incidents across IT/OT.
