Job summary

VTG Defense seeks a Cyber Security Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA, to serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and security stakeholders. You will translate complex concepts into clear security requirements and support A&A activities across multiple environments.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance with a polygraph and 11+ years of experience, with expertise in RMF/ICD 503, SSPs, and security documentation.

Qualifications

• Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph required.
• Minimum experience of 11 years in security engineering or ISSE roles.
• Experience supporting RMF/ ICD 503 A&A processes and artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between technical teams and security stakeholders, translating concepts into security documentation and requirements.
• Support complex network environments with multiple enclaves and shared infrastructure.
• Document security controls implementations and gather artifacts for RMF and ICD 503 A&A activities.
• Develop and maintain SSPs and CONOPS with tools like Greenlight.
• Collect A&A documentation including CPs, GUGs, PUGs, and SOPs.
• Support SCA/ISSO/M during A&A reviews and assessments.
• Track and manage POA&Ms, mitigation status, and evidence collection.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and stakeholders to gather required security artifacts.
• Assist with ATD, IATT, and ATO processes and approvals.
• Monitor A&A lifecycle across projects, including re-accreditation timelines.
