Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) Global Cyber Risk Services is seeking a Senior Associate – Cyber Risk Advisory. You will help clients across industries assess, measure, and reduce cyber risk by evaluating maturity against controls, regulatory expectations, and roadmapping future-state capabilities.

You will support buy‑side/sell‑side due diligence and contribute to risk governance initiatives. The role emphasizes translating complex security concepts into business terms, delivering client-ready

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and ~4–7 years of cyber risk advisory experience.
Consulting experience (Big Four or equivalent) required.
Experience with control frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001/27002, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI DSS.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to produce client-ready deliverables.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute cybersecurity program assessments against established frameworks.
Facilitate interviews and workshops with CISOs and other senior leaders.
Develop governance models, risk management processes, and policy standards.
Lead incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and third-party risk reviews.
Deliver polished, client-ready reports and executive summaries and present to boards or leadership.
Mentor analysts and contribute to GCRS methodologies and playbooks.
