Job summary

SimSpace is seeking a Senior Cyber Range Engineer to architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-based cyber ranges and training environments. You will build scalable, realistic infrastructures that emulate enterprise environments across multiple cloud platforms while ensuring isolation and efficient resource use.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish required across written, virtual, and in-person interactions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling (Puppet, Ansible).
• Containerization and VM deployment at scale (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring/logging solutions and cloud cost management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain local and cloud-based cyber range architectures supporting multiple concurrent sessions.
• Develop automation frameworks for rapid deployment, teardown, and reset of range environments (IaC).
• Create emulated cloud services and resources when direct cloud integration isn’t feasible.
• Maintain security controls and network isolation to prevent range escape or resource abuse.
• Collaborate with content developers to translate training requirements into technical specs.
• Provide guidance and documentation for SimSpace software across use cases.
• Develop and maintain deployment and troubleshooting documentation.
• Deliver knowledge transfer sessions to customers and partners.
