Job summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Incident Response Specialist in Washington, DC to join the SOC team and lead incident handling for government clients.

Responsibilities include triage of cybersecurity events, develop playbooks aligned to NIST SP 800-61, coordinate with stakeholders, and report findings. On-site role with shift flexibility; salary range $100k-$120k.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ hands-on experience in cybersecurity incident response.
• Experience detecting, triaging and responding to cyber incidents across enterprise networks.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR/XDR platforms and forensic tools.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-61 and related government guidance.

Responsibilities

• Member of the SOC team providing 24/7 monitoring and incident response.
• Lead incident response efforts on-site in Washington DC and manage playbooks.
• Develop baselines, analyze data, and escalate incidents with timelines.
• Coordinate with client stakeholders and report on cybersecurity events.
