Motion Recruitment in Washington, DC is seeking a SOC Manager to lead its Cybersecurity Operations Team across SOC analysis, security engineering, and insider risk. This hands-on leadership role strengthens detection and response capabilities onsite 4 days per week.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in cybersecurity, bachelor's degree, PMP or equivalent, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust. You will oversee monitoring, investigations, and incident response while mentoring the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience including SOC leadership for 2,000+ users.
• Active PMP or equivalent certification.
• Hands-on with detection, triage, investigations, and incident response.
• Strong security engineering and operations practices.
• Eligible for Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Onsite availability four days per week in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SOC, security engineering, and insider risk teams.
• Oversee monitoring, detection, triage, investigations, and incident response.
• Develop and improve incident detection, response, escalation, and reporting processes.
• Improve the effectiveness and utilization of security tools across the organization.
• Develop strategies to strengthen SOC capabilities and team expertise.
