Job summary

Qualifications

• Membership in the Florida Bar and five years of criminal trial law experience.
• Preference may be given to applicants with criminal prosecution experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and evaluating evidence for prosecution of criminal cases.
• Submitting data and recommendations for intake decisions.
• Advising investigators and reviewing warrants and orders.
• Making charging decisions in consultation with leadership.
• Coordinating with other divisions and law enforcement agencies.
• Preparing and filing charging instruments.
• Representing the State at bond hearings and in court.
• Managing discovery scope and attending depositions.
• Handling trial representation and post-trial proceedings.
• Maintaining documentation and case progress in the tracking system.
