Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) seeks a Principal Cyber Engineer to serve as a technical SME for cyber development efforts. You will integrate products with modern architectures to address IT and cyber challenges for government customers, leveraging Agile practices.

Requires TS/SCI eligibility, 12+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree (or 20 years equivalent), and residency within an hour of Southern Pines, NC. Telework is allowed with up to 16 hours on site weekly.

Qualifications

• Must have Top-Secret clearance and be eligible for TS/SCI.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 20 years of equivalent experience.
• Residency within 1 hour of Southern Pines, NC; telework is authorized with up to 16 hours on site weekly.
• Experience leading or providing technical oversight for complex cyber or IT development efforts.
• Experience with Windows, Linux and core networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide cyber management services to government agencies related to Cyberspace Operations.
• Manage all technical aspects of cyber development projects using Agile methodologies.
• Develop training and documentation for software products.
• Plan and facilitate Cyberspace Operations exercises for military operations.
• Test and examine deliverables and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
• Review testing to ensure standards are met and mentor junior staff.
