Job summary

IPT Associates (IPTA) in Radford, VA, is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Incident Response Engineer to manage enterprise SIEM systems, deployments, and monitoring under applicable DoD log data policies.

You will build dashboards, investigate events, and coordinate with cybersecurity service providers to strengthen incident response, audits, and security controls. A CISSP or equivalent and active clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity and incident response or related areas.
• Experience managing SIEM systems and getting data into SIEM.
• Strong ability to build and manage SIEM dashboards that show events.
• Knowledge of PKI and SSL/TLS certificate management.
• Familiarity with DoD web app security standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build SIEM dashboards that clearly show security events to spot anomalies and threats in near real time.
• Watch SIEM dashboards, investigate events, and escalate when needed.
• Define reporting requirements that support audits and security controls.
• Provide PKI support, including managing SSL/TLS certificates.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity service providers on audit logging and incident response.
• Review system designs for security compliance.
