BETA Technologies, Inc. in Vermont is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to join our Information Security division.

This role leads incident response, security controls, and program development while mentoring junior analysts. You will guide investigations, design robust controls, evaluate AI/ML defense options, and collaborate with IT, engineering, and business units to embed security into daily operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on information security operational experience.
• 5+ years of incident response and forensics experience.
• Expertise in security controls design, implementation, and assessment.
• Mentor and develop junior security professionals.
• Lead or contribute to growing information security programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Security certifications (GIAC, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent).
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, and security orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee incident response activities, triage and analysis, and mentor junior analysts.
• Lead IR investigations from detection to remediation; develop post-incident playbooks.
• Design, implement, and optimize security controls across the enterprise.
• Contribute to strategic growth and maturation of the security program.
• Research, evaluate, and operationalize AI/ML defenses for threat detection and automation.
• Translate threat intelligence into actionable defensive measures.
• Ensure compliance and documentation across security activities.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business units to embed security into processes.
