Job summary

Invictus International Consulting, LLC. in Colorado Springs seeks a Senior Cyber Defense Analyst III to lead advanced investigations across network, endpoint, and identity telemetry, and to coordinate incident response activities.

The role requires TS/SCI with CI poly, DoD 8570 IAT II/IAM II, and substantial enterprise experience in cyber defense, threat hunting, and improving SOC playbooks.

You will mentor junior analysts, develop runbooks, and communicate findings to government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience
• Significant cybersecurity investigations and incident response experience in enterprise environments
• DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM II certification required
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a CI polygraph
• Experience in a DoD/IC environment and knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced investigation of complex security events across network, endpoint, identity, and other telemetry
• Coordinate cyber defense incident triage, escalation, and containment/remediation
• Support incident handling from detection to reporting per procedures
• Correlate data across sources to identify affected assets and adversary activity
• Develop and improve analyst runbooks, procedures, and playbooks
• Mentor junior analysts and provide hands-on guidance during investigations
• Translate lessons learned into improved detections and defenses
• Communicate status, risk, and recommendations to SOC and government stakeholders
• Lead portions of incident response activities and post-incident reviews
• Proactive threat hunting to identify related or previously undetected activity
