Job summary

ShorePoint, LLC is seeking a hands-on Senior Cyber Automation and Controls Engineer for an onsite opportunity in Albuquerque, NM. You will implement, tune and automate security controls to support enterprise monitoring, defense and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience in security engineering, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering and operations teams. Security clearances may be preferred or required.

Qualifications

• Experience in security engineering, control implementation and automation in cybersecurity environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise logging, monitoring, access control and technical security operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills to implement, integrate and sustain technical security improvements.
• Experience working across engineering and operations teams to deliver measurable cybersecurity outcomes.
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and tune technical protections such as logging, access controls and security automation capabilities.
• Develop or enhance automated workflows to improve monitoring, event tracking and incident response.
• Support security engineering changes and emerging capabilities from threat hunts and incidents.
• Integrate new security capabilities into existing environments in a sustainable manner.
• Support defensive exercises, control testing and validation activities.
• Coordinate with architects, analysts and ISSOs to ensure controls operate as intended.
