ShorePoint is seeking a technically strong Senior Cybersecurity Engineer / SME for a key role onsite in Albuquerque, NM. You will translate policy and architecture requirements into actionable technical solutions, lead implementation of security controls, and guide teams through problem solving to improve defense capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; a postgraduate degree may substitute for 6 years of experience.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Applicant must be a U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, refine and maintain detailed technical work instructions and SOPs for security controls.
• Recommend, implement and tune protections such as logging, access controls and encryption.
• Design, implement and support disaster recovery and COOP planning.
• Lead research and evaluation of new security technologies for feasibility and adoption.
• Conduct authorized defensive security exercises and control effectiveness evaluations.
• Provide SME support to incident response, remediation planning and gap closure.
