Job summary

Odyssey Logistics is hiring a Custom House Brokerage Import Entry Writer in a hybrid role based in the United States. You will manage import entries with CBP forms, classify goods, and coordinate with carriers and clients to ensure compliant, timely clearance.

FTZ admissions and zone changes are core responsibilities, with ongoing regulatory oversight and documentation support. Strong CBP and FTZ knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Import Entry Writer in a licensed CHB.
• Experience in logistics or transportation and international import/export.
• FTZ experience preferred but not required; knowledge of HTSUS, valuation, and tariffs helpful.
• Strong knowledge of CBP regulations and PGA requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple entries, priorities, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, validate, and transmit import entries (CBP forms) in compliance with CBP rules.
• Review documents and determine HTS classification, duties, valuation, and origin.
• Coordinate with carriers, terminals, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare FTZ admissions, withdrawals, and zone status changes; ensure FTZ compliance.
• Support regulatory oversight and respond to CBP information requests as needed.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on FTZ and customs entry questions for clients.
