We're looking for an experienced recruiting professional to join our Chicago office as a Senior Customer Success Manager. In this role, you'll leverage your talent acquisition expertise to assist small-business customers in improving their hiring outcomes using Betterteam's applicant tracking system. The Role:

As a Senior Customer Success Manager, you will act as a strategic partner and advocate for our existing clients—primarily small business owners and HR teams relying on our ATS. This is not a sales quota role; instead, your focus is on building relationships and ensuring clients derive maximum value from Betterteam. You will diagnose recruiting challenges and suggest solutions through proper platform use or process modifications, aiming to turn customers into enthusiastic advocates and contribute to their success and ours.

What You'll Do:
  • Consult & Advise: Collaborate with small business clients to understand their hiring goals, review their job posts and workflows, and provide expert recommendations to improve candidate quality and volume.
  • Drive Adoption: Educate clients on platform features and best practices to maximize their results, such as multi-posting jobs and organizing candidates effectively.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Monitor recruiting metrics and use data insights to identify bottlenecks or opportunities, translating findings into actionable strategies.
  • Build Relationships: Maintain regular contact through check-ins, training, and strategy sessions to foster trust and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate & Advocate: Work with support and product teams to resolve issues and relay customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Spot Growth Opportunities: Identify potential expansion areas for clients and coordinate with sales for upselling when appropriate, ensuring it aligns with client success.
Who You Are:

An accomplished recruiting professional skilled at building trust and delivering results. You may have experience as a recruiter, account manager, or talent acquisition specialist, understanding how to diagnose hiring challenges and prescribe solutions. You are eager to leverage your knowledge to impact multiple companies simultaneously, combining a consultative approach with proactive effort, comfortable engaging with small business owners and analyzing recruitment data.

Your Background & Skills:
  • Recruiting Expertise: 3+ years in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in an agency or client-facing role. Experience in writing job ads, optimizing pipelines, and coaching hiring teams is a plus.
  • Consultative Communicator: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build rapport, actively listen, and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable interpreting recruitment metrics and using ATS/CRM tools to report outcomes.
  • Proactive & Driven: Self-motivated problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and is willing to wear multiple hats.
  • Passion for Impact: Genuine care for helping small businesses succeed, with enthusiasm that inspires clients and teammates alike.
