Job summary

Pendo is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer to own strategic Enterprise accounts across acquisition, implementation, adoption, expansion, and escalation. You’ll lead technical strategy for complex deployments and partner with account teams to drive retention and value.

You’ll build playbooks, coach peers, and use AI to accelerate content and workflows, elevating the capabilities of the entire Customer Engineering team while supporting West Coast customers remotely.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role
• Deep hands-on web tech experience: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs
• Experience managing strategic Enterprise accounts with executive stakeholders
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems with multiple variables
• Experience linking technical work to business outcomes (retention, expansion, ROI)
• Hands-on use of AI tools integrated into daily work
• Experience mentoring more junior team members

Responsibilities

• New customer acquisition and selling: partner with Account Directors, craft demos, lead technical evaluations with requirements gathering and workshops
• Complex implementations and value realization: onboarding strategic customers, create implementation playbooks, oversee deployments with executive visibility
• Adoption, expansion, and growth: identify opportunities to expand adoption across features and products, align tech with business outcomes
• Technical escalation: act as escalation point for complex challenges across Customer Engineering
• Team capability building: create playbooks, coach peers, share workflow improvements with the team
• Early account impact: assess health and risks, establish trust with stakeholders, lead complex interactions
• Quarterly business outcomes: drive improvements in retention, expansion, and technical resolution across strategic accounts
