Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is seeking a Custody and Digital Assets Risk Analyst to join our risk and governance oversight of traditional and digital asset servicing activities in New Jersey. This role requires an understanding of operational, regulatory, and control complexities across custody, corporate actions, and digital asset custodial models.

The successful candidate will help identify, assess and manage risks from evolving products, processes, technologies, and regulatory requirements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, risk, or related field.
• 3-7 years’ experience in operational custody servicing, risk management, digital assets, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of traditional and digital asset servicing frameworks and blockchain technologies.
• Familiarity with risk analysis, workflow events, and control evaluation.
• Experience assessing risks in change management programs and evolving technology.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and frameworks including RCSA, control testing and incident management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and enhancements of risk governance frameworks for traditional and digital asset servicing.
• Partner with operations, technology and control functions to evaluate new products and process changes.
• Coordinate regulatory guidance for risk framework implementation (e.g., SEC, NYDFS, FINRA, OCC).
• Implement effective models of continuous monitoring and self-assessment.
• Review incident management practices and escalate matters to senior management as needed.
• Ensure clear, concise, and timely reporting to management.
• Promote a culture of risk awareness and escalation across lines of business.
• Develop and support training initiatives for staff to promote risk awareness.
