Hourly Wage:

New Hire: $20.60
After 90 days: $21.42
After 1 year: $22.07
After 2 years: $22.80
After 3 years: $24.70

About the Senior Custodian Role:

The Senior Custodian monitors building safety conditions and performs custodial duties. They may be responsible for a division in the supervisor's absence.

• Instructs and inspects custodial staff on a designated shift
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and waxes floors
• Dusts and cleans offices
• Maintains inventory of supplies
• Performs routine maintenance on janitorial equipment
• Vacuum carpets and upholstery; cleans windows, blinds, walls, and mirrors
• Cleans, sanitizes, and deodorizes restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed
• Assists in moving furniture and equipment
• Prepares rooms for meetings
• Replaces light bulbs
• Raises and lowers flags
• Opens and closes the building
• Mows grass, trims hedges, and maintains grounds around County buildings
• Removes ice and snow from sidewalks
• May be responsible for building security
• Performs other related duties, including custodial tasks

Minimum Qualifications:

• No formal education required
• Minimum of one (1) year of custodial experience required

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 1:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
