Job summary

Axon Enterprise in the United States is seeking an experienced system test engineer for advanced CUAS projects. You will own end-to-end test strategy, design and execute cross-stack test plans, and run field campaigns with threat-representative drones to validate detection, tracking, identification and defeat capabilities.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5-8 years across system test, system integration, field test & evaluation, or similar roles on complex electromechanical and RF systems.
• Experience with at least two of: HW/SW integration testing, RF/wireless validation, environmental/reliability testing, test automation, electrical system testing, radar testing, EO/IR/camera testing, acoustic sensing.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level test strategy for one or more CUAS product lines from prototype to production and field deployment.
• Design and execute integration test plans across the full stack: RF sensors, radar, EO/IR, acoustic sensors, computer vision, DF, jamming, networking and third-party integrations.
• Plan and execute field test campaigns at the range with threat-representative drones and live detect-track-ID-defeat runs.
• Build and maintain test tooling, automation, data capture/reduction, and regression automation including HIL/RF-chamber/environmental setups.
• Collect and analyze test metrics, turning field data into actionable insights for PM, engineering, and leadership.
• Evaluate third-party/integrated systems against acceptance criteria to determine suitability.
• Triage complex multi-system failures and reproduce intermittent field issues.
• Collaborate with Dedrone teams during design reviews to bake in testability early.
