Job summary

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is seeking multiple Senior Project Managers (Sr Civil Engineer) to lead complex CSO infrastructure programs that reduce sewage and polluted stormwater overflow into Seattle waterways.

You will steer projects through conception, design, construction and close-out, requiring technical depth, regulatory awareness, and collaborative leadership across City departments and external partners.

Qualifications

• Five years’ professional civil engineering experience.
• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
• A combination of education/experience/training which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phase of project delivery—initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing to ensure scope, schedule and budget.
• Oversee the integrated project baselines for scope, schedule and cost development.
• Apply PMBOK, EVM and CPM methods to monitor performance and forecast variances.
• Lead environmental, inter-agency, and local permitting efforts in compliance with laws and SPU protocols.
