Job summary

ITC Federal, Fort Meade, MD, seeks a Network Engineer for 100% onsite support of CSfC deployments. The role emphasizes IP routing, VPN, firewall, and security-centric operations with experience across Cisco and Palo Alto platforms.

Expect hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and 24x7 on-call escalation in a mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate holds an active federal SECRET clearance, IAT II cyber certs, and a Bachelor's in a related field, with strong communication abilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT-related discipline required.
• Active Federal SECRET Security Clearance required.
• Current, active IAT Level II cyber security certification (Security+, CySA+, or equivalent).
• Networking knowledge: VLANs, routing (BGP/EIGRP/OSPF), IKEv2 IPsec VPNs, PKI, DNS, SNMP.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep hands-on support for network routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN termination appliances (site-to-site and remote access IKEv2 VPNs).
• Plan and perform platform-level software updates and disaster recovery operations.
• Install and configure network segments with a security-first approach.
• Test and document system status to support operations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and replace faulty hardware/software components.
• Monitor network performance and plan future changes.
• Collaborate on a multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide 24x7 on-call Tier 3 escalation for outages.
• Perform other duties to support the customer's mission.
