Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a senior software engineer to design and implement cryptographic systems across distributed services. You will own multi-quarter initiatives from design to deployment, influencing security outcomes and technical direction at scale.

You will mentor engineers, conduct thoughtful code reviews, and contribute to engineering standards while communicating across teams and leadership. This role emphasizes deep expertise in security and large-scale design.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Design and implement cryptographic systems using Rust, formal verification, PKI, and distributed systems.
Own multi-quarter initiatives from design through deployment.
Drive technical decisions with broad impact across multiple teams.
Conduct insightful code reviews that improve design quality.
Debug complex issues across multiple systems.
Mentor engineers at multiple levels.
