Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking a senior software engineer to design and build cryptographic and distributed systems at scale. You will own multi-quarter initiatives using Rust, PKI, and formal verification to strengthen data protection while maintaining operational efficiency.

You will mentor engineers, review code, and influence technical direction across AWS service teams, with CISO-level visibility and a chance to shape how tens of thousands of builders design and operate their services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cryptographic systems using Rust, formal verification, PKI, and distributed systems.
• Own multi-quarter initiatives from design through deployment.
