Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a software engineer to design and implement cryptographic systems using Rust, PKI, formal verification, and distributed architectures. You will own features from design through deployment and mentor junior engineers across teams.

You will work on authentication systems and large-scale security architecture, collaborating with engineers across AWS in a culture that emphasizes knowledge sharing and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cryptographic systems using Rust, formal verification, PKI, and distributed systems. Own features from design through deployment. Conduct code reviews, debug complex issues, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to operational excellence.
• A day in the life: You'll work on authentication systems, cryptography, PKI, system hardening, and large-scale security architecture, collaborating across AWS teams.
