Job summary

Amazon AWS Security seeks a software engineer to design and implement cryptographic systems using Rust, PKI, formal verification, and distributed architectures at cloud scale. You will own features from design through deployment, improving customer control over data access and metadata while maintaining operational efficiency.

You will collaborate across AWS service teams, mentor engineers, review code, and contribute to security outcomes with visibility at the CISO level.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Responsibilities

Design and implement cryptographic systems using Rust, formal verification, PKI, and distributed systems.
Own features from design through deployment, conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers.
Work on authentication systems, cryptography, PKI, and large-scale security architecture.
