Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• 3-5 years of sanctions-related experience within a financial institution or government agency.
• Applied and practical experience conducting on-chain sanctions investigations using blockchain analytics.
• Strong working knowledge of OFAC regulatory requirements and screening tools.
• Ability to apply BSA/AML laws to sanctions, money laundering, and terrorist financing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across different levels and lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct customer and transaction-related sanctions monitoring activities with proper documentation.
• Make final disposition decisions and escalate potential true matches to management.
• Respond to sanctions-related escalations from various business units and compliance teams.
• Conduct sanctions-related due diligence and investigations for risk relevance.
• Support the sanctions screening program and regulatory reporting as needed.
• Monitor changes in sanctions and crypto regulations and update controls.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects, including drafting procedures and cross-functional liaison.
• Mentor team members on crypto-related compliance workflows.
