Job summary

Quantinuum seeks a Senior Advanced Process Systems Engineer - Cryogenics in Broomfield, CO to lead cryogenic control system design, commissioning, and optimization. The role focuses on reliable automation and instrumentation for direct-use helium infrastructure, working with mechanical, process, electrical, and operations teams.

The successful candidate will be the technical authority for control architecture and instrumentation strategy, driving robust solutions from concept through operation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 6+ years designing, commissioning, and supporting industrial control systems in process, manufacturing, energy or cryogenic industries.
• US person as required by contractual and government security rules.
• Experience with control system architecture, instrumentation strategy, and automation is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of cryogenic control systems for liquid helium applications.
• Optimize existing systems for maximum efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Contribute to R&D projects to improve cryogenic processes and expand capabilities.
• Install, commission, and troubleshoot cryogenic turbomachinery and associated control systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure robust system integration from concept through commissioning.
• Stay current with advancements and apply relevant innovations to ongoing work.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cryogenic systems, workflows, configurations, and safety procedures.
