Job summary

Quantinuum seeks an Advanced Cryogenic Engineer in Broomfield, CO to design, maintain, and improve cryogenic systems and infrastructure. You will work with engineers, scientists, and technical staff to ensure safe and efficient use of liquid helium.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, a U.S. person, and willingness to travel up to 10%. You will contribute to R&D efforts and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable cryogenic solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree minimum required.
• 4+ years’ experience involving cryogenics, turbomachinery, process infrastructure, or automation systems.
• U.S. person due to contractual requirements.
• National security restrictions apply to certain nationalities per policy.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cryogenic systems, including refrigeration, liquefaction, cryostats and storage solutions.
• Apply thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid dynamics to optimize processes.
• Conduct research to develop new cryogenic technologies and improve existing systems.
• Stay current with advancements in cryogenics and related fields.
• Perform simulations and experiments to test equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate cryogenic systems into projects.
