Job summary

HDR is seeking an Assistant Area Cross Sector Manager in Minnesota to lead development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies across cross sector staff to meet client needs and market drivers. You will review proposals, lead project and financial reviews, assess staffing and salary requests, champion quality, and advance best practices, policies and credentialing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 15+ years in related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in related field.
• Professional engineering registration and related technical experience, if applicable.
• Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other business class and cross sector directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on cross sector efforts.
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead, align and collaborate on business class, marketing, management and company operations
• Review technical proposals and fee estimates; make recommendations to cross sector, business group and area management
• Lead project reviews; actively participate in financial reviews
• Assess staffing and salary requests; make recommendations to cross sector, business group and area management
• Champion a quality culture within cross sector teams
• Advocate for professional development of staff and development of best practices, technical policies and procedures, papers and presentations, Professional Associates credentialing, recognition of technical achievement, practice group activities, and automation tools
• Act as role model of our values and code of conduct, as well as professional/ ethical/business standards expected by specific clients and required by licensing/ credentialing entities
• Deliver projects in your professional discipline
