Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Strategic Communications Team Lead in Minnesota to manage a dynamic group of Project Managers and oversee delivery on infrastructure projects. You will supervise timecards, budgets, and performance, while coordinating with cross-functional teams across regions and disciplines.

You will mentor staff, identify development opportunities, and help drive client engagement and project success in a fast-paced, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Engagement, or related discipline; 7+ years of related experience OR an Associate degree with 10+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Strategic Communications Project Managers, reviewing timecards and expenses, setting utilization goals, and conducting performance conversations.
• Provide day-to-day staff management, quality review, troubleshooting, and project support for Minnesota team.
• Coordinate with team leadership and cross-functional groups to identify, maintain, and support project work.
• Provide staff development, advocacy, and training plans for Minnesota Coordinator Team.
• Share information about training opportunities and coordinate development plans for team members.
• Resolve team issues or elevate as needed.
• Perform as Strategic Communications Project Manager or equivalent as needed.
• Support business development through proposal writing, scope/budget development, interview prep, and client conversations.
