Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a senior mobile systems engineer to design and implement cross-platform features for Android and iOS using modern C++. You will work on our in-house browser kernel and game engine with a focus on performance, AI integration, and user experience.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize AI components for on-device inference, latency, and memory usage while maintaining robust mobile infrastructure across platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development with a focus on mobile or cross-platform environments.
• Strong C++ development experience with C++14+.
• Proven ability to work across Android and iOS platforms.
• Familiarity with Android graphics pipeline and reading source code.
• Familiarity with iOS architecture and native development concepts.
• Solid understanding of Linux memory management and POSIX APIs.
• Experience with cross-platform data sharing between Android and iOS.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cross-platform mobile features for Android and iOS using modern C++.
• Design and implement features for in-house mobile browser kernel based on Chromium for Android and iOS.
• Develop features for in-house mobile game engine using OpenGL ES and native graphics tech.
• Explore and integrate AI capabilities into mobile apps including on-device inference and LLMs.
• Optimize AI components for latency, memory, CPU/GPU usage, power, and UX.
• Collaborate with teams to define, design, and deliver features across Android, iOS, and shared C++ infrastructure.
• Integrate third-party data sources, AI services, SDKs, and APIs.
• Write and run unit tests to ensure robustness and coverage, including edge cases.
• Troubleshoot, fix bugs, and improve performance, stability and responsiveness.
• Balance responsiveness, stability, efficiency, maintainability, and UX in mobile design.
