Job summary

The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a Senior Criminal Justice Information Technician for the Orlando intake area. The role supervises junior technicians, manages complex data entry and retrieval tasks, and ensures policy compliance.

It is not a telework position and requires reporting to the local FDC office. Responsibilities include data entry accuracy, interpreting court and law enforcement documents, and explaining results to authorized staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess two years of secretarial or clerical work experience.
• College education substitutions allowed per policy: 30 sem. hours or 45 quarter hours per year of experience.
• Transcript required if college degree is submitted.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and guides junior technicians in data entry and retrieval tasks.
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness in processing criminal justice information.
• Maintains compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
