Job summary

The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a Senior Criminal Justice Information Technician to oversee and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of criminal justice information.

You will supervise junior technicians, manage complex data entry, and ensure compliance with departmental policies. This on-site role reports to the FDC office serving Circuit 11-C Coconut Grove and involves active involvement in investigations and information sharing.

Qualifications

• Must possess two years of secretarial or clerical work experience.
• College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience.
• A high school diploma or its equivalent can substitute for one year of the required work experience.

Responsibilities

• Enter and interpret vital statistical, financial, and technical data into our advanced computer systems.
• Maintain accurate offender records by reviewing and updating information from various documents.
• Send and receive critical information and messages through information centers and provide explanations to non-equipment users.
• Respond to inquiries from authorized personnel about our information systems, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Safeguard confidential information, maintain dissemination records, complete validation reports, and keep office equipment running smoothly.
