RRC Power & Energy, LLC is seeking a Senior Crew Chief for San Antonio, TX to lead field crews on survey projects. Candidates should have 5+ years as Party Chief or Crew Chief and ALTA experience, with strong skills in Trimble equipment, construction staking, and Civil 3D data prep.

Travel to project sites is required. The role emphasizes field leadership, equipment stewardship, and coordinating with clients while upholding RRC values.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Party Chief or Crew Chief.
• Must have prior ALTA experience.
• Proficient in operating Trimble survey equipment (TSC3, TSC7, R8, R10).
• Strong background in construction staking (building, parking lot, utilities).
• Experience running level loops and establishing vertical/horizontal benchmarks.
• Capable of generating and interpreting OPUS solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D for field calculations and data prep.
• Willingness to travel long distances to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate in varying weather conditions to complete fieldwork.
• Direct daily field operations of the crew, delegate tasks, and oversee performance.
• Take ownership of all assigned field equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
• Coordinate project logistics including site access, field conditions, schedule alignment, and client updates.
• Confirm all fieldwork is complete before leaving the job site.
• Demonstrate professionalism and respect in all client interactions.
• Consistently uphold and represent RRC Companies’ values in the field.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, for communication and documentation.
