Job summary

Craft3 seeks a Sr. Underwriter to assess commercial loan opportunities in the WA or OR area. You will underwrite complex credits, build detailed cash flow models, and support ongoing loan servicing while collaborating with lenders and risk teams.

Ideal candidates bring 6–10 years of financial analysis experience, solid GAAP knowledge, and strong communication skills. This role offers hybrid/remote options with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Six to ten years of experience in business or financial analysis, preferably in commercial lending or underwriting.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and GAAP concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex large credits (> $1MM) including multi-party borrowers and specialized financing structures.
• Prepare and present credit recommendations with detailed analysis of financial statements, projections, and business plans.
• Structure loans with covenants and closing conditions; develop cash flow models for various loan types.
• Support periodic credit servicing and monitoring of the loan portfolio.
• Analyze industry trends and macroeconomic factors affecting creditworthiness.
• Communicate knowledge effectively to internal teams and lenders.
• Mentor and develop other commercial underwriters.
• Coordinate and support lender onboarding in underwriting processes.
• Participate in community events to elevate Craft3’s visibility.
• Manage multiple projects and prioritize workload.
• Coordinate credit pipeline for assigned lenders.
• Seek input from colleagues when appropriate.
