Hybrid role at Scottsdale Operations Center, focusing on loan-level underwriting reviews and vendor oversight across multiple loan types to ensure compliant, salable loans.

Key responsibilities include second-level underwriter reviews for authority, income validation, AUS data alignment, and contributing to policies and scorecards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of recent credit risk audit and/or mortgage underwriting across Conventional, Government (FHA/VA/USDA), Jumbo, and Non-QM products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth credit risk audits and re-underwrites to ensure compliance with agency, investor, and internal guidelines.
• Perform second-level underwriting reviews for new and existing underwriters seeking lending authority, including FHA/VA/Jumbo products.
• Audit and evaluate QC vendors, maintain performance logs, and support calibration and scorecard development.
• Identify and elevate repurchase risk, defect trends, and data inconsistencies to the Director of Credit Risk.
