Job summary

RBC Capital Markets, LLC in New York is seeking a skilled ABS risk analyst to assess and monitor Asset-Backed Securities across commercial and consumer asset classes. You will evaluate evolving ABS segments, assign ratings, and work with the business line to manage risks of new transactions.

Failed risk assessments are escalated and you will implement quantitative methods and tools to monitor and manage credit risk.

Qualifications

3+ years experience with Securitization or Structured Products.
Credit risk or rating agency experience preferred.
High attention to detail and ability to challenge the first line.
Ability to write and present credit recommendations clearly.
Self-motivated with ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Able to work independently and in teams.
Proficiency with AI tools, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor ABS borrowers across commercial and consumer asset classes.
Evaluate less established ABS asset classes and integrate operating risks.
Provide risk assessment, credit analysis, adjudication and monitoring for the assigned portfolio.
Assign ratings and monitor portfolio for rating accuracy.
Collaborate with business line on risks of new transactions and provide guidance.
Apply quantitative methods and tools to analyze data for credit risk management.
Ensure credit transactions comply with risk policies, limits and guidelines.
